GoSats Raises $5 Million in Funding for Asset-Based Rewards

GoSats, an asset-based rewards platform, has successfully raised $5 million (approximately Rs 42 crore) in a Series A funding round. This round was led by Konvoy, with contributions from Y Combinator, Taisu Ventures, and numerous angel investors. The Bengaluru-based startup had previously acquired $4 million during a pre-Series A round in June 2022 and secured $700,000 in seed funding back in 2021.

Utilisation of Fresh Capital

According to a recent press release, the new funds will facilitate user acquisition, broaden the fintech product range with improved reward experiences, bolster investments in AI-driven customisation, and enhance the teams in engineering, product development, and growth.

Overview of GoSats

Established in 2020 by siblings Mohammed Roshan and Roshni Aslam, GoSats offers users the opportunity to earn Bitcoin and gold rewards on everyday spending. The platform allows individuals to accumulate Bitcoin through online shopping, gift cards, and a prepaid payment instrument (PPI) card, acting as a gateway to digital assets.

Future Plans for Expansion

GoSats aims to introduce additional fintech services and enhance its rewards ecosystem to cover new asset categories, alongside fostering deeper collaborations with consumer brands and fintech companies. The company seeks to connect traditional finance with the digital economy, enabling users to earn asset-based rewards during daily transactions and providing an easier method to access alternative assets.

Performance Metrics

The platform currently handles an annual gross merchandise value (GMV) of $40 million (approximately Rs 360 crore) and has allocated over Rs 50 crore in Bitcoin and gold rewards since its inception. GoSats has established partnerships with prominent brands such as Flipkart and Google.
