Social investing platform StockGro is engaging in advanced discussions to secure up to $15 million in its upcoming pre-Series C funding round, according to two sources familiar with the situation. Tawuniya, the largest insurance company in Saudi Arabia, is said to be the leading investor in this Bengaluru-based firm, as indicated by one source who preferred to remain anonymous. The negotiations are nearing completion, and the expected investment range is between $10 million and $15 million.

Founded in 2020 by Ajay Lakhotia, StockGro offers a platform designed for trading and investment, providing users with expert insights and AI-driven research within a community-focused model. The company has recently introduced Stoxo, a research platform aimed at its user base of over 35 million, offering them convenient investment analysis tools.
Recent Funding Developments
This recent investment follows the company’s completion of its Series B1 funding round in January 2026, where it successfully raised $13 million with the support of Bitkraft Ventures. Prior to that, StockGro raised $17 million in a Series B round led by prominent investor Mukul Agrawal’s Param Capital.
StockGro’s Financial Landscape
As of now, StockGro has not provided responses regarding the new funding. To date, the company has collected a total of $97 million through a combination of equity and debt from various investors, including General Catalyst, SBI Holdings, and a subsidiary of SoftBank. StockGro is anticipated to file its financial statements for FY25 soon. In FY24, the company’s operational revenue saw a decline of 34%, dropping to Rs 86.5 crore from Rs 131 crore in FY23, while losses increased by 84% to reach Rs 101 crore during FY24.
Market Position and Competition
Operating within India’s retail investment market, StockGro faces competition from established platforms like Groww, Zerodha, Upstox, INDmoney, and Angel One. These competitors are known for providing stockbroking, advisory, and investment services to retail clients across equity and derivatives markets. StockGro is determined to enhance its footprint in the social investing space by prioritising research-led tools and community engagement.
