Lifestyle brand Uni Seoul has successfully raised Rs 5 crore ($585K) during a seed funding round, led by Sauce VC. Other participants include Panthera Peak Ventures, Arun Venkatachalam, Sangeet Agrawal, Navin Parwal, and Yogesh Kabra. This investment is set to enhance Uni Seoul’s offline footprint in tier I cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

The funding will also assist in launching new private labels, upgrading its direct-to-consumer platform, enhancing marketing strategies, and refining supply chain operations.

Uni Seoul: Founders and Offerings

Founded by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana, Uni Seoul provides a range of products in home and living, personal care, gifting, and fashion accessories. The brand operates four profitable stores in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Nashik.

Product Range and Manufacturing

Uni Seoul boasts over 700 stock-keeping units (SKUs) across various categories, including home & living, personal care, gifting, and fashion accessories. Approximately 40% of its products are produced in India through contract manufacturers, while the remaining items are sourced from a network of over 200 vendors located in South Korea, India, China, and Vietnam.

Expansion and Online Presence

Currently, Uni Seoul operates two offline stores in Pune and Nashik. The company launched its online store in October 2023, which has already accounted for 27% of its revenue, all achieved without any marketing initiatives.

Customer Engagement and Growth Goals

The brand has reported impressive customer retention rates and an average rating of 4.8 across various channels. Uni Seoul is ambitious in its goals, aiming to triple its growth within the next year.
