Zoca: AI Solutions for Local Businesses

Artificial intelligence (AI) startup Zoca has successfully secured $6 million in a funding round spearheaded by Accel, with additional involvement from GTMfund, Elevation Capital, and Better Capital. This funding will be directed towards executing its go-to-market approach within the US and expanding its roster of AI agents, as stated in a press release.

Zoca’s Mission to Support Hyperlocal Businesses

Founded in 2024 by Ashish Verma and Robin Chauhan, Zoca provides marketing assistance to hyperlocal businesses such as salons, spas, florists, and pet care services. These are businesses that cater to audiences in specific locations, and currently, Zoca’s services are available in the US.

How Zoca’s AI Agents Work

Zoca’s AI agents streamline the entire growth process for businesses. They focus on identifying demand, enhancing visibility on Google Search, converting leads, and re-engaging customers.

The agents optimise local search rankings, send rebooking notifications, and create social media content for businesses. Recently, the platform has also introduced agents for paid advertising and social media management. These agents are trained utilizing various large language models (LLMs), such as Llama and ChatGPT.

Target Audience and Future Plans

Currently, Zoca primarily collaborates with beauty and wellness firms, but aims to expand into the pet care sector. Since its establishment, Zoca has reportedly partnered with over 1,000 local beauty and wellness businesses, generating more than $10 million in revenue and booking upwards of 120,000 appointments. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the platform seeks to amplify its revenue by ten times.
