BRAVIA Theatre has debuted two innovative home audio solutions: the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6. These products are designed to enhance the audio experience within Indian households, delivering cinema-like sound quality.
Features of BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Theatre Bar 6
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 features a robust 5.1-channel, 1000W setup, including wireless rear speakers and a dedicated subwoofer. Meanwhile, the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 offers a sleek 3.1.2-channel soundbar equipped with upfiring speakers and a wireless subwoofer. Both sound systems support advanced audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, creating a surround sound atmosphere reminiscent of a movie theatre.
Seamless Integration with BRAVIA Televisions
These audio systems are designed for effortless integration with BRAVIA televisions, utilising Sony’s proprietary audio enhancing technologies. Features such as the Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Voice Zoom 3 work collaboratively to produce spatial audio effects, improve dialogue clarity, and offer intelligent sound optimisation tailored to content and surroundings.
Expert Insights on the New Launch
Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director of Sony India, noted that the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 are aimed at bringing a genuine cinematic experience into Indian homes. The products marry cutting-edge technology with pragmatic features, delivering a powerful 1000W immersive audio experience, along with the advantages of Dolby Atmos and wireless functionality.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 also provides a Multi Stereo mode that extends stereo sound across additional channels for a more immersive listening experience. Both systems include dedicated Night and Voice modes and can easily be controlled via the BRAVIA Connect app or BRAVIA TV remotes, allowing for quick adjustments to sound fields and volumes through the TV’s interface.
Localised Audio Tuning
Tomoya Kato, a Senior Acoustic Engineer at Sony Corporation, highlighted that these devices have been calibrated for local preferences, specifically enhancing bass and vocal clarity to meet Indian audio tastes.
Sustainability and Accessibility Features
On the sustainability front, SONY has integrated recycled PET bottle fabric into the devices’ designs and minimised plastic usage in their packaging. They have also included accessibility features, such as tactile indicators for visually impaired users and screen reader compatibility through the BRAVIA Connect app.
Pricing and Availability of BRAVIA Theatre Systems
The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is priced at ₹39,990 and will be available from 1 July 2025, while the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 will cost ₹49,990, set for release on 3 July 2025. Both audio systems will be available through Sony retail outlets, its online portal, leading electronics stores, and various e-commerce platforms.
