Paar Autonomy: Revolutionising Robotics with Advanced AI Solutions
Paar Autonomy, a pioneering robotics startup focused on perception hardware and agentic artificial intelligence for unmanned vehicles, has successfully secured Rs 3.5 crore in a pre-seed financing round led by Venture Catalysts. The funding will be utilised to establish Paar Autonomy’s inaugural manufacturing line, provide pilot units to defence and public sector unit (PSU) clients, and expand its engineering and business development teams.
The startup is also considering partnerships with defence organisations, PSUs, and international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer both complete gimballed payload solutions and licensable AI models that can upgrade existing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and unmanned surface vehicles (USVs).
About Paar Autonomy and Its Technology
Founded in 2024 by robotics engineer Vignesh Jayaraman, who previously led product development at one of India’s top drone startups, Paar Autonomy creates multi-sensor, gyro-stabilised gimbal cameras that provide unmanned aerial, ground, and sea vehicles with enhanced visual capabilities often referred to as “super-human” sight. This advanced perception technology works in tandem with proprietary agentic AI models that empower machines to understand complex surroundings, coordinate with human operators, and collaborate in real-time.
Market Focus and Potential
The primary focus of Paar Autonomy is the global defence market for perception and autonomy solutions, which is currently valued at $6 billion for drone applications alone. Ground and maritime robotic solutions are anticipated to contribute an additional $4-5 billion by 2030. Furthermore, the technology developed by Paar Autonomy is applicable to crucial civilian sectors, including industrial inspections, infrastructure monitoring, and disaster response efforts.
By catering to both defence and industrial markets, Paar Autonomy is strategically positioning itself to compete with global leaders in autonomy, while harnessing its “Made in India” intellectual property advantage to expand its presence internationally.
