P-Tal (Punjab Thathera Art Legacy), a premium kitchenware brand noted for its handcrafted copper, brass, and bronze items, has successfully raised $3 million in a funding round spearheaded by VC Grid and Nithin Kamath’s Rainmatter. The funding round also attracted investors such as Connecticut Innovations, Anicut Capital, Zeropearl VC, and a number of angel investors. Startup Superb initially disclosed this news two months ago.

The funding will be utilised to enhance P-Tal’s international operations, which presently represent approximately 60% of its revenue. The company aims to strengthen its foothold in the US and expand into Europe, the UK, and the Middle East. Additionally, it plans to boost its research and development efforts to create products tailored for new markets.

About P-Tal

Founded by Aditya Agrawal, who serves as CEO, P-Tal breathes new life into traditional Indian kitchenware by providing a variety of products that include cooking utensils, tableware, dinnerware, and everyday essentials, with prices starting at Rs 1,500. The products are meticulously handcrafted by 110 artisan families based in Chandigarh and Moradabad, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Product Availability

P-Tal’s offerings are available through its direct-to-consumer website, various e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, as well as two physical stores located in India. In 2023, P-Tal previously secured around $550,000 in funding led by Titan Capital, raising its total funding to nearly $3.6 million. The brand also gained visibility in Season 3 of Shark Tank India, securing Rs 1 crore in backing from prominent investors including Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Namita Thapar, and Vineeta Singh.
