Firefly Boards: Adobe’s Innovative AI Platform

Adobe has unveiled the global availability of Firefly Boards, an AI-driven ideation space aimed at enabling creators to brainstorm, experiment, and collaborate in real time. This platform combines Adobe’s own Firefly models with contributions from partners like Google, Runway, Moonvalley, Luma AI, Black Forest Labs, and Pika, offering a dedicated hub for visual exploration.

New Generative Video Models

The worldwide launch introduces two novel generative video models, Runway Aleph and Moonvalley Marey, which expand the toolkit available for filmmakers, designers, and creative teams. In addition to these models, Adobe has introduced three exciting features:

Enhanced Features of Firefly Boards

• Presets: Instant style generators for visuals, which include product mock-ups, virtual try-ons, and stylised portraits.
• Generative Text Edit (beta): A tool enabling users to swap or update text directly within visuals, promoting faster iterations.
• Describe Image: A feature that examines uploaded images and transforms them into editable prompts, assisting users in building upon existing ideas without uncertainty.

Adobe emphasises that these enhancements are crafted to reduce the time between inspiration and execution, streamlining the overall creative workflow.

Industry Feedback on Firefly Boards

Chris Grubisa, CEO of Let’s Cook Editing Services, acknowledged the platform’s potential, stating that Firefly Boards simplifies the often chaotic creative process. It is described as a boundless space for collecting, sorting, ideating, remixing, and building without judgement, ultimately leading to clearer ideas, time savings, and improved collaboration and productivity.

Filmmaker and creative director Malick Lombion expressed that Firefly Boards allows rapid generation and iteration of various visual concepts for a creative commercial proposal. This has made the process more efficient, enabling him to refine storyboards with ease and present a polished moodboard to clients in an expedited manner.

Subscription Plans for Enhanced Access

To make Firefly Boards more accessible, Adobe has introduced new subscription plans. Users now have the option of unlimited canvases along with access to Firefly’s growing model library. The new plans include Firefly Standard, Pro, and Premium, all bundled with Photoshop (web and mobile) and Adobe Express Premium, in addition to the benefits offered to Creative Cloud Pro members.
