Dashamlabs: Innovative Silica Aerogel Insulation Solutions

Dashamlabs, a leader in materials science, is at the forefront of developing high-performance silica aerogel insulation materials. Recently, the company secured Rs 12 crore in a seed funding round, spearheaded by Speciale Invest, with additional participation from IIMA Ventures. The funding will be allocated to enhancing research and development (R&D), increasing production capacity, building pilot systems, and collaborating with partners within the oil and gas sector, electric vehicles, defense, and construction to validate and scale its aerogel products.

The company creates high-performance, fire-resistant, and lightweight insulation products tailored for various applications in industrial, mobility, and infrastructure sectors.

Innovative Technology

According to the startup based in Delhi, its proprietary technology facilitates the manufacturing of flexible silica aerogel sheets characterised by ultra-low thermal conductivity, remarkable temperature stability (from -150°C to 1000°C), hydrophobic properties, and fire resistance. The focus is on refining the process of ethanol-based supercritical drying while making strides toward ambient-pressure drying methods to achieve scalable and cost-effective mass production.
