Create for YouTube Shorts: Adobe and YouTube Collaborate for Superior Video Editing

Create for YouTube Shorts marks a significant collaboration between Adobe and YouTube, announced at Adobe MAX 2025. This initiative aims to provide creators with top-notch video editing tools directly via Adobe Premiere mobile.

Transforming Video Editing for Creators

This partnership harnesses the advanced video editing capabilities of Adobe Premiere alongside the expansive reach of the YouTube Shorts platform. This integration empowers millions of creators to effortlessly create, edit, and distribute impactful short-form videos. The new feature offers creators access to unique templates, transitions, and effects specifically designed for YouTube Shorts, enabling instant sharing of their videos to the platform.

Key Announcement Details

The launch was highlighted at Adobe MAX by Ely Greenfield, who is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital Media at Adobe, in conjunction with Scott Silver, Vice President of Engineering at YouTube.

Words from the Experts

Greenfield expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with YouTube, noting that it equips creators with the necessary tools to thrive on a global platform. He highlighted that YouTube Shorts has become a pivotal starting point for many creators, as the integration of Adobe Premiere mobile’s professional editing tools helps them produce high-quality content and engage new audiences.

Silver elaborated on YouTube’s mission to support creators, stating that the intent is to provide comprehensive tools enabling easier storytelling and audience connection. He mentioned that the collaboration with Adobe to incorporate YouTube Shorts into Premiere mobile will enhance creators’ editing options, facilitating new ways to connect with viewers globally.

The Create for YouTube Shorts Experience

This new content creation hub will be integrated within YouTube, allowing users to click on the “Edit in Adobe Premiere” icon to commence their editing experience in Premiere mobile.

Features Available to Creators

The comprehensive experience provides creators with capabilities such as:

  • Access to unique effects, transitions, and title presets for standout videos.
  • Utilisation of ready-made templates to create polished, professional content.
  • Ability to design and share custom templates to inspire peers and initiate trends.
  • One-click publishing of completed videos to YouTube Shorts.

Additionally, users of Premiere mobile will have the advantage of Adobe’s advanced editing capabilities, including Generative Sound Effects, AI tools powered by Firefly, and high-level audio and video functions.

Adobe launched Premiere mobile in September with the intention of making powerful video editing technologies more accessible to a new wave of mobile-centric creators.

The Create for YouTube Shorts functionality is set to be available soon to Premiere mobile users, facilitating seamless integration between leading creative software and YouTube’s fast-growing short-form video platform.
