Nano Banana Pro: The Next Generation of Image Generation by Google
Google has unveiled Nano Banana Pro, an enhanced iteration of its well-received Nano Banana image model, elevating precision, contextual comprehension, and creative richness. Based on the Gemini 3 Pro framework, this model allows users to transform ideas, sketches, and data into high-quality visuals in mere seconds. Additionally, it enhances text rendering, supports multiple languages, and improves the quality of complex scene compositions.
This launch is a follow-up to the earlier Nano Banana, which debuted just a few months back. That model enabled casual users to restore vintage images, create figurines, and make quick edits. Now, Google has proclaimed Nano Banana Pro as its most effective tool for image generation and editing, catering to both casual users and creative professionals.
Advanced Features of Nano Banana Pro
Nano Banana Pro employs sophisticated reasoning and real-world knowledge to produce visuals that are not only accurate but also rich in context. Users can rely on this model to interpret educational content, create intricate diagrams, generate recipe guides, and visualize real-time data by leveraging Google Search as a resource.
Furthermore, users can look forward to improved infographics, enhanced visual explanations, and image outputs that convey the latest information. For instance, the model can create weather-related graphics by accessing current conditions via Search or generate educational illustrations packed with data.
Multilingual and High-Quality Text Rendering
Google states that Nano Banana Pro can also produce images featuring clear and readable text in various languages. This capability extends to posters, calligraphy, product designs, and branding layouts. Thanks to the multilingual reasoning of Gemini 3, the model is able to translate and localize text in images without compromising visual integrity.
Complex Scene Composition
Nano Banana Pro enables intricate scene compositions by merging up to 14 input images while preserving the identities of as many as five individuals. This feature supports more dynamic fashion editorials, product visuals, cinematic composites, and even photorealistic 3D-style imagery.
Creative Controls and Export Options
Google has introduced professional-grade creative controls that empower users to adjust lighting, refine focus, alter camera angles, shift daytime settings to nighttime, apply colour grading, and recompose images to fit various aspect ratios. Outputs can be exported in both 2K and 4K resolutions, making them suitable for print and social media.
Availability Across Google’s Ecosystem
Nano Banana Pro is being rolled out across the Google ecosystem:
- Gemini app: Accessible globally when choosing the ‘Thinking’ model. Basic users receive limited Pro quotas, while Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers can benefit from higher limits.
- Search: Available in AI Mode within the United States for Google AI Pro and Ultra users.
- NotebookLM: Being globally deployed for subscribers.
- Google Ads: Updated to incorporate Nano Banana Pro for advertisers.
- Google Workspace: Available in Google Slides and Google Vids.

Responsible AI Measures
Google is also committed to enhancing its responsible AI initiatives. All AI-generated images come with an unnoticed SynthID watermark. Users have the option to upload an image to the Gemini app to confirm whether it was created using Google AI. This feature will soon be extended to audio and video content as well.
A visible watermark will appear on images produced by free and Pro tier users; however, Google AI Ultra subscribers and Google AI Studio users will receive clean exports free of visible marks for professional applications.
