Neuron Energy Secures Funding for EV Battery Expansion
Neuron Energy, a manufacturer of electric vehicle batteries, has successfully raised Rs 31 crore (approximately $3.5 million) in a pre-Series B funding round. This round was co-led by Equanimity Ventures, the Rajiv Dadlani Group, Thackersay Family Office, and Chona Family Office, with contributions from various family offices and high-net-worth investors.
Previous Funding and Total Capital Raised
Based in Mumbai, Neuron Energy had earlier raised Rs 20 crore during a Series A funding round, also co-led by the Chona Family and Capri Global Family Office in August of the previous year. With the recent investment from the pre-Series B round, Neuron Energy has accumulated a total of Rs 80 crore to date.
Plans for Capital Utilization
The new funds will be allocated towards increasing manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh, as well as establishing a fully automated, cutting-edge facility dedicated to electric four-wheelers and buses. Additionally, the company intends to bolster its research and development capabilities, accelerate growth within the domestic market, and widen its presence in international markets, as stated in a press release.
