Meta Appoints Aman Jain as Head of Public Policy in India

Meta has recently appointed Aman Jain, previously the director of public policy at Amazon, as the head of Public Policy. He will be part of the India leadership team at Meta and will report to Simon Milner, the Vice President of Policy for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, starting early next year. In this role, Aman will oversee the policy strategy and relationships in India, particularly as the government develops its strategies regarding technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

Aman’s Extensive Experience in Public Policy

According to Meta’s announcement, Aman brings over two decades of experience in public policy and business strategies. Prior to joining Meta, he served as the Director of Public Policy at Amazon for over two years, where he managed policy strategies concerning marketplace operations, competition, and technology. Furthermore, Aman spent more than seven years at Google, holding several senior positions.

The company has been actively recruiting top-tier AI researchers and engineers from competitors like OpenAI, Google, and Apple, offering substantial salary packages.
