Logitech has officially unveiled the MX Master 4 in India today, marking the latest enhancement in its premier MX Master series, crafted for creative professionals and developers. This new device introduces engaging haptic feedback and an innovative software overlay system aimed at refining intricate workflows.
Highlights
Tactile Feedback and Precision Control
The MX Master 4 sets itself apart as the first mouse in the MX range to incorporate customisable haptics. This advanced technology delivers subtle vibrations during scrolling, navigating, and selecting, providing a tactile precision specifically tailored for activities such as video editing, design projects, and data analysis.
Tolya Polyanker, General Manager of the MX Business at Logitech, highlighted that in today’s fast-paced environment, advanced users require tools to help them reshape their workflows to achieve more efficiency. The MX Master 4 has been designed to enhance user immersion and speed, featuring tactile haptic feedback and fast access to preferred tools through the Actions Ring software overlay.
The ‘Actions Ring’ Overlay
In addition to hardware enhancements, Logitech has introduced the ‘Actions Ring’, a digital overlay made possible by the Logi Options+ software. This functionality enables users to place frequently used tools and shortcuts for specific applications directly on the screen. As per Logitech, this system can decrease unnecessary mouse movements by up to 63 percent and save professionals approximately 33 percent of their time by automating tasks in applications like Excel or Photoshop.
Under the Hood: Specs and Connectivity
The MX Master 4 retains the iconic MagSpeed Scroll Wheel, capable of scrolling through 1,000 lines in just one second. It comes with an 8,000 DPI sensor that operates on virtually any surface, including glass. For shared environments, the device incorporates ‘Quiet Clicks’, providing a tactile response while generating 90 percent less noise compared to its predecessor, the MX Master 3.
Connectivity has been significantly improved, with the device supporting double the connection strength of prior models thanks to a high-performance chip and a new USB-C dongle. Users can effortlessly pair and switch between up to three devices (laptops, desktops, tablets) across various operating systems. Regarding battery life, a full charge lasts up to 70 days, while a one-minute quick charge via USB-C offers three hours of usage.
Sustainability and Business Features
The mouse is made using post-consumer recycled plastic (minimum of 48 percent) and includes a low-carbon aluminium thumbwheel. Its battery comprises 100 percent recycled cobalt.
For business customers, the MX Master 4 for Business provides features for remote monitoring through the Logitech Sync platform, allowing IT teams to manage devices without needing physical desk visits.
Pricing and Availability
The MX Master 4 will be offered in Graphite and Pale Grey colour options. It is priced at Rs 15,995 and includes a complimentary one-month membership to Adobe Creative Cloud.
