Realme 16 Pro Series Unveils Urban Wild Design with Naoto Fukasawa
Realme has announced an exciting design collaboration with renowned Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa for the upcoming 16 Pro Series, showcasing a new aesthetic termed ‘Urban Wild Design’. This partnership marks their fifth product collaboration, representing the first time Fukasawa has participated in the main Realme number series.
Reviving a Design Partnership
Returning three years after their last project together, this collaboration merges naturalism with modern craftsmanship, offering updated ‘Master Design’ colours, an innovative bio-based organic silicone material, and advanced aesthetic techniques.
Urban Wild Design: Discovering ‘Spiritual Utopia’
Focusing on a shared design ethos, earlier projects, including the Realme X, X2 Pro, GT, and GT 2 Pro, have explored the idea of “without thought” in smartphone aesthetics, emphasising an inherent beauty that feels intuitively right to the eye and touch.
The core philosophy behind the 16 Pro Series emphasises a journey towards a “spiritual utopia” within urban settings, culminating in the Urban Wild Design. This concept fuses the raw essence of nature with contemporary urban style, producing a texture that feels both organic and sophisticated. The chosen materials are inspired by tactile elements found in nature, such as the sight of wheat in a breeze or river stones shaped by flowing waters, integrating these concepts into city-inspired craftsmanship details like the Metal Mirror Camera.
Innovative Bio-Based Material
The Realme 16 Pro Series is at the forefront, introducing bio-based organic silicone, a groundbreaking material that combines sustainability, comfort, and durability. This silicone is derived from renewable plant-based straw through a clean, pollution-free process. It is noted for its soft, skin-friendly texture with natural elasticity, closely resembling the feel of authentic surfaces. Additionally, this material is designed to be incredibly durable, resisting aging, dirt, bacteria, and abrasion, ensuring the device retains its elegant look over time.
Moreover, the physical design features an industry-first handcrafted ‘All-Nature Curve’, where smooth, flowing lines transition seamlessly from the back panel to the mid-frame and display. This aims to create a visually appealing, naturally comfortable grip. Despite these remarkable design features, the 16 Pro Series keeps a slim profile, measuring just 8.49mm.
Luxury Finishes and Nature-Inspired Colours
To merge nature-inspired textures with modern luxury, the 16 Pro Series incorporates high-quality craftsmanship into its camera module and metal mid-frame.
Camera Module
The camera boasts Luxury PVD Craftsmanship, inspired by exquisite watchmaking techniques, providing a gleaming mirror finish. This is complemented with Nanoscale Metal Coating Craftsmanship for enhanced durability and scratch resistance.

The ‘Volcanic Camera Deco’ blends seamlessly with the back panel and is further enhanced by a Luxury Metallic Mid-Frame.

The latest Master Design Colours feature four shades inspired by nature, all achieved through meticulous multi-dimensional colour tuning to reflect nature’s purest hues.
