Clicks Technology: Redefining Communication with Innovative Devices

Clicks Technology, a startup established by experts in the mobile industry aiming to revive tactile typing for the modern age, has notably broadened its hardware range at CES 2026. The company has progressed from its renowned keyboard cases to unveil an independent smartphone and an adaptable magnetic accessory.

The Clicks Communicator

Beginning with the Clicks Communicator, this device has been designed as a companion gadget rather than a central media hub. It is a compact smartphone that emphasises communication over media consumption. The communicator boasts a permanent tactile QWERTY keyboard and a 4.03-inch AMOLED screen. Operating on a streamlined version of Android 16, it focuses on minimising digital interruptions by prioritising messaging and productivity applications rather than endless social media scrolling.

Even with its minimalist approach, the hardware specifications are up-to-date. The device offers 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD to a maximum of 2TB. Additionally, it retains features often overlooked in today’s flagship models, such as a 3.5mm headphone jack and compatibility with both nano-SIM and eSIM. Security features are incorporated directly into the physical keyboard, including a fingerprint sensor located in the spacebar.

A highlight of the communicator is the Signal LED, a customisable notification light integrated into the Prompt Key on the side of the device. This feature allows users to assign distinct colours for various applications or contacts, providing quick visibility for priority management.

Clicks indicates on their website that while the Communicator serves as a companion device, it can also function as a primary device for those who choose to do so, given its operation on Android 16.

The Power Keyboard

Another notable product from Clicks is the Power Keyboard, aimed at users who wish to maintain their existing smartphones. Unlike the company’s initial sleeve-style cases, this $79 accessory magnetically attaches through MagSafe or Qi2. It features a slide-out QWERTY design and comes with its own 2,150 mAh battery, providing the ability to recharge the host phone while in operation.

As it connects via Bluetooth, the Power Keyboard is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It can even be paired with tablets and smart TVs, serving as a convenient typing solution.

Pricing and Availability

The Clicks Communicator is now available for reservation at an introductory price of $399 (approximately Rs 36,022), set to increase to a retail price of $499 (approximately Rs 45,050) after 27 February. The Power Keyboard is anticipated to ship this spring, with a regular retail price of $109 (approximately Rs 9,840).
