EarthSync Raises Funding for AI-Driven Renewable Energy Solutions
EarthSync, a pioneering artificial intelligence platform focused on renewable energy planning, procurement, and operations, has successfully secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round. This initiative was spearheaded by Theia Ventures, with additional participation from Eximius Ventures. The funds will be allocated towards enhancing its AI-enabled clean energy modelling and forecasting engine, implementing policy-driven techno-economic optimisations, and developing its project marketplace, as detailed in a press release.
About EarthSync
Founded in 2024 by Rajat Singh and Mehul Kumar, EarthSync is dedicated to creating a unified intelligence platform that empowers commercial and industrial enterprises, energy advisors, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to effectively plan, procure, and manage renewable energy projects with enhanced clarity. This innovative platform amalgamates regulatory intelligence, real-time simulation, and techno-economic modelling into a seamless workflow, transitioning a previously fragmented process into a coherent and structured system.
Accelerating Energy Transition
The Bengaluru-based startup is committed to accelerating energy transitions using big data systems, providing cloud-first clean energy finance modelling and insights platforms to key energy stakeholders, including IPPs, commercial and industrial consumers, advisors, and utilities. EarthSync leverages a blend of techno-economic modelling, regulatory data, real-time simulations, and advanced AI technologies to assist users in evaluating options, optimising returns, enhancing forecasting, and making informed, data-driven decisions prior to capital commitment.
Proven Impact and Future Plans
The platform proudly reports that it has conducted simulations of 10 GW of solar and wind energy alongside 4 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) through pilot programmes with integral IPPs and commercial and industrial consumers. This endeavour has facilitated decision-makers in strategising and bidding for over 200 MW of solar and wind projects, as well as 100 MWh of BESS projects. Currently, EarthSync caters to Individual Power Producers and large energy-intensive commercial and industrial enterprises, focusing on open access or captive energy needs, with aspirations to expand into heavy industries, data centres, and substantial commercial portfolios.
Competitive Landscape
EarthSync positions itself in direct competition with traditional energy consulting firms and advisory services, as well as with fragmented software tools both nationally and internationally. Conventional consulting models tend to be slow, personnel-intensive, and reliant on spreadsheets, while existing tools often address isolated issues. In contrast, EarthSync’s platform offers a comprehensive solution that integrates regulatory intelligence forecasting and asset lifecycle workflows.
