Vervesemi Secures $10 Million for Semiconductor Innovation
Vervesemi, a fabless semiconductor startup, has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding round, co-led by Ashish Kacholia and Unicorn India Ventures. This funding round also included contributions from Roots Ventures, Caperize Fina, and MAIQ Growth Scheme. Based in Noida, the company had previously secured $500,000 in funding.
The newly acquired funds will be allocated toward accelerating the commercialization of Vervesemi’s machine learning-enhanced analog signal chain integrated circuit (IC) portfolio. The company plans to expand its intellectual property portfolio, bolster research and development efforts, and establish a robust go-to-market strategy across Asia, the United States, and other significant semiconductor markets, according to a press release.
Founded in 2017 by Rakesh Malik and Pratap Narayan Singh, Vervesemi Microelectronics is dedicated to creating high-performance analog and mixed-signal intellectual property along with unique integrated circuits for the global market. The startup harnesses proprietary machine learning architectures to boost reliability, yield, and overall system performance in critical operational environments.
Recent Achievements in Technology Maturation
Over the past year, Vervesemi has reported substantial advancements in technology maturation and commercial viability. The company has successfully validated its machine learning-enabled analog signal chain architecture in silicon, leading to multiple customers entering production. Furthermore, Vervesemi has expanded its product pipeline and strengthened customer engagement within industrial and smart energy segments.
New Motor Control Product Line
In addition, Vervesemi has introduced a new line of motor control products tailored for high-efficiency and reliable applications, particularly in electric vehicles, drones, and industrial automation. These innovative solutions incorporate precision sensing, intelligent control, and enhanced fault detection, aiming to elevate performance and safety standards.
Strengthening Partnerships for Production
The startup has also fortified collaborations with various players in fabrication, packaging, and testing to facilitate scalable production and accelerate silicon validation cycles. Vervesemi reports the development of over 140 semiconductor intellectual property blocks and 25 integrated circuit product variations. These serve diverse applications including space, defence, industrial sectors, motor control, and smart energy. The company is supported by a portfolio that boasts 10 patents and five trade secrets, and it is recognized as an IP alliance partner within the Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) as well as a UMC IP alliance partner.
