Kuku: An AI-Driven Storytelling Platform Receives Investment from MS Dhoni

Kuku, an innovative storytelling platform powered by artificial intelligence, has attracted investment from the former Indian cricket star MS Dhoni, who has taken on the role of brand ambassador for Kuku TV, the company’s microdrama application. As part of this collaboration, Kuku has introduced a campaign highlighting Dhoni to market its short-format content options.

This initiative arrives as Kuku broadens its horizons into theatrical production with its inaugural Hindi feature film titled Indian Institute of Zombies (IIZ). The company operates various content platforms, including Kuku TV for short video content, Kuku FM for audio storytelling, and Guru focusing on edutainment. Additionally, Kuku has embarked on extending its reach within theatrical content.

Established in 2018 by Lal Chand Bisu, Vinod Kumar Meena, and Vikas Goyal, Kuku has surpassed 350 million installations across its applications. The platform boasts over 20,000 titles in various languages and formats. Its microdrama platform, Kuku TV, has achieved more than 180 million downloads and consistently releases a vast array of short-format content spanning numerous genres.

In addition to this, Kuku is venturing into the development of AI-led content formats, including microdramas that encompass mythology, fiction, and superhero themes. As reported by media outlets, Kuku has enlisted four bankers to facilitate the raising of up to Rs 3,000 crore (approximately $330 million) through an initial public offering (IPO).
