Future Wealth Investments Launches Innovative Venture Fund
Future Wealth Investments is making waves by introducing its inaugural venture fund, aiming for a target corpus of $50 million, with an additional green shoe option of $10 million, bringing the overall potential fund size to $60 million. This venture fund will concentrate on investments from pre-seed to Series A, supporting founders in the initial phases of building their companies, often before specific market categories are established.
The fund intends to issue initial checks ranging from $250,000 to $5 million, while also retaining reserves for follow-on investments within high-performing portfolio companies. The objective of the firm is to assemble a diverse portfolio consisting of approximately 20 companies.
Sector Interests of the Fund
Although the mandate is open to all sectors, the fund has pinpointed several key areas of interest, including artificial intelligence, consumer-oriented businesses, supply chain and logistics, as well as hardware-driven innovation.
Support from an Experienced Advisory Board
The firm benefits from the guidance of an advisory board that includes founders of publicly listed companies in India and the UAE. This board is complemented by a vast network of operators, investors, and capital allocators spread across Silicon Valley and Asia.
Current Portfolio and Market Context
Future Wealth Investments has already invested in various companies, such as Heads Up For Tails, Tantrayut, B4U Media, Mobipay, Zippee, and Vivos. A recent market report highlights that India experienced over $12.1 billion in newly launched venture capital and private equity funds, representing a 39% increase year-on-year, with approximately 58% concentrating on early-stage investments.
Under the leadership of Rohit Kapoor, the firm actively invests in founders throughout India, the UAE, and Singapore, ensuring their support during the crucial early stages of business development.
