H2LooP Secures $2 Million Seed Funding to Enhance AI-native Software

H2LooP, a startup focused on AI-native system software, has successfully raised $2 million in seed funding led by Speciale Invest and 3one4 Capital, as announced on March 7. The aim is to speed up the development tools for industries reliant on hardware.

Investment to Boost Development Tools for Hardware Industries

The Bengaluru-based venture has indicated that the investment will be allocated to fortify its core platform, scale enterprise deployments, and expand its reach into sectors including data centres, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and robotics.

About H2LooP

Founded by Sairanjan Mishra and Pulkit Agrawal, H2LooP is focused on creating AI-native tools designed to expedite system software development for hardware systems. The founders recognise this area remains a significant bottleneck despite rapid advancements in chip technology and intelligent systems.

Meeting Demand for Enhanced System Engineering Workflows

There is apparent strong interest from enterprises keen to modernise their system engineering processes. The platform from H2LooP offers immediate benefits by decreasing development cycles and enhancing code quality, which makes it an attractive option for teams working on intricate systems.

Innovative Data Platform Development

The startup is also creating a data platform aimed specifically at hardware engineering, in addition to developing domain-specific coding models designed for software integrated within physical systems. This includes built-in verification and validation layers that guarantee reliability.

Ensuring Reliable Hardware Deployment

Co-founder Pulkit Agrawal noted that H2LooP is constructing an infrastructure layer to ensure that software does not hinder the effective deployment of advanced hardware. This reevaluation of system software construction allows hardware teams to enhance their processes without sacrificing reliability.

Addressing a Critical Gap in AI and Hardware Integration

Investors pointed out that H2LooP is tackling a significant void as AI technology becomes more integrated into physical systems. Arjun Rao, a founding partner at Speciale Invest, highlighted that even though hardware innovation is progressing rapidly, the accompanying software must evolve at the same pace.

Transforming Development and Validation Processes

Dhanush Ram, investment principal at Speciale Invest, emphasised that in mission-critical systems, the challenges lie in system software, particularly in its development, verification, and validation under realistic conditions. H2LooP is bridging this gap by incorporating AI into the system software layer, enabling reliable production-grade solutions at scale, while facilitating quicker iterations.

Collaborations and Future Prospects

Sonal Saldanha, principal at 3one4 Capital, mentioned that as hardware systems become increasingly software-defined, the demand for speedier and more reliable system software development intensifies. H2LooP is currently collaborating with semiconductor entities, defence organisations, and telecom OEMs, and has been accepted into the Infineon Global Startup Program.
