Axten Hospitals Secures Rs 2.5 Crore Funding for Surgical Care Expansion
Axten Hospitals, a startup focused on surgical care, has successfully obtained Rs 2.5 crore in its inaugural structured funding round, spearheaded by PedalStart with contributions from angel investors. This capital will facilitate the establishment of three new hospital facilities in the upcoming 12 months through a model designed for asset-light expansion, concentrating on partnerships, branding, legal frameworks, and essential working capital.
Future Plans for Axten Hospitals
In addition, Axten is set to introduce a technology platform aimed at improving patient discovery, booking, and post-operative care. Founded by Gauttam Chhabra, Axten Hospitals operates specialized surgical centres that emphasise standardized care delivery, operational efficiency, and fixed pricing.
Operational Success and Revenue Growth
The startup launched its pilot facility in East of Kailash, New Delhi, in FY25, generating approximately Rs 9 crore in revenue during its debut year while maintaining a positive EBITDA. Axten concentrates on high-volume surgical procedures encompassing general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, ENT, and oncology.
Transparent Pricing Approach
Axten’s foundational model presents fixed-price surgical packages through its “Honest Surgery Price” strategy, which aims to eliminate unexpected billing and enhance pricing clarity for patients. The startup envisions developing a network of over 25 facilities across the five major metropolitan areas, targeting an ambitious revenue goal of Rs 250 crore over the next five years.
