BigEndian Semiconductors: Fabless Semiconductor Startup Secures $6 Million in Pre-Series A Funding
BigEndian Semiconductors, a prominent fabless semiconductor startup, has successfully raised $6 million in a pre-Series A funding round. This round was led by IAN Alpha Fund, with contributions from existing investors including Vertex Ventures SEA and India, IvyCap Ventures, and several strategic angel investors. Previously, the Bengaluru-based startup had obtained $3 million in seed funding from Vertex Ventures in August 2024.
Funding Utilisation and Company Vision
The funds will be allocated towards the commercialisation of its first system on chip (SoC). Additionally, the company aims to enhance product engineering and fortify partnerships across foundries, intellectual property ecosystems, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), as detailed in a recent press release.
Founding Team and Core Focus
Founded in March 2024 by a team that includes Sunil Kumar, Renuka Prasad, Dinesh Annayya, Kanagaraju Ponnusamy, and Jansen Cheng, BigEndian Semiconductors is dedicated to building secure, high-performance SoCs designed in India, catering to global applications.
