Mekr Raises Rs 67 Crore for Consumer Electronics Innovation
Mekr, a startup dedicated to the design and manufacturing of consumer electronics, has successfully secured Rs 67 crore ($7 million) in its Series A funding round. This round was led by Avaana Capital, with contributions from Titan Capital Winners Fund. The funding will be utilised to enhance research and development, automate manufacturing processes, localise supply chains, improve quality control systems, and scale export efforts.
Founded in 2022 by Anand Yadav and Gaurang Kuchhal, Mekr operates as a comprehensive design and manufacturing platform catering to consumer appliances. The startup offers a full spectrum of services that encompass product design, prototyping, tooling, certification, and mass production for appliance brands.
Mekr’s Diverse Product Categories
Mekr is involved in various sectors including home and kitchen appliances, personal care products, and car accessories. The company proudly claims to have developed over 100 SKUs, collaborating with more than 40 brands such as Croma, Wipro, Amazon Basics, and Flipkart.
Innovative Product Development
To assist in product creation, Mekr employs modular engineering systems that incorporate BLDC motor systems, heating systems, load cells, and is equipped with in-house mould design features.
