KollegeApply is transforming the student admission experience by simplifying the process for students across India. In its first academic cycle, the startup reported onboarding over 600 institutions, which significantly contributed to its success. The Gurugram-based company has achieved revenue exceeding Rs 15 crore and has turned a profit in its initial fiscal year, which concluded in March 2026, according to Sanjay Meena, the Founder and CEO of KollegeApply.

How KollegeApply Simplifies the Admission Process

The platform assists students, colleges, and universities in navigating college discovery, applications, counselling, and enrolment. Leveraging AI-led guidance, KollegeApply matches students with appropriate colleges and courses, facilitating a streamlined experience.

Engagement Metrics and Achievements

KollegeApply proudly reports having interacted with over 2 million users, benefiting more than 7 lakh students. The platform has managed over 40,000 applications, successfully facilitating 15,000 admissions, and has seen more than 1 lakh students utilising its tools and services.

Revenue Streams and Business Model

According to Sanjay Meena, KollegeApply generates revenue through multiple channels including student enquiries, applications, confirmed admissions, and branding solutions for colleges. This diversified approach not only secures funding but also enhances the service offered to institutions.

Vision for Growth and Future Expansion

Discussing the company’s growth and long-term vision, Meena highlighted the goal of making college admissions more straightforward through AI-based guidance and tailored recommendations. Additionally, the firm aims to assist colleges in boosting student engagement and amplifying enrolments at scale.

Team Structure and Focus

To support its ambitious goals, KollegeApply has assembled a team of about 150 professionals across various departments including sales, operations, technology, product, and content. Meena mentioned that their primary objective is to focus on execution and to effectively manage both college partnerships and student demand.

Industry Recognition

A recent annual report by Merito has positioned KollegeApply among the leading three competitors in the higher education admissions sector during its inaugural year of operations, underscoring the company’s effective early traction and operational expertise.

Transition to an AI-led Platform

Originally established as a student acquisition and enrolment support tool, KollegeApply is evolving into an AI-driven admissions and student guidance platform. The objective is to enhance conversion rates while empowering students to make well-informed decisions regarding their college choices.

Future Goals

As per Meena, the aspiration is to expand to encompass over 1,500 institutional partners in the upcoming academic cycle, alongside increasing its footprint throughout India.
