MobiKwik Reports Quarterly Results – Focus on Profitable Growth

MobiKwik Reports Quarterly Results

Fintech platform MobiKwik has shared its quarterly results today. The company has noted a slight rise in operating revenue and has turned profitable, achieving a net profit of Rs 7.6 crore in the quarter, a remarkable turnaround from a net loss of Rs 42 crore in the same quarter the previous year.

MobiKwik’s operational revenue climbed 3.7% year-on-year, reaching Rs 281 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 271 crore in Q1 FY26, as shown in its unaudited financial records accessed from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total income for the company stood at Rs 289 crore in Q1 FY27, which is an increase from Rs 282 crore a year prior.

For MobiKwik, the main drivers of revenue in Q1 FY27 were commissions earned from services such as recharges and loan processing, in addition to earnings from payment gateway and technology platform services. However, the firm did not provide a segmented revenue breakdown in its quarterly filing.

Payment processing fees remained the highest expense for the Gurugram-based company, amounting to Rs 117 crore, which accounted for 41.6% of the total expenditures. Employee benefits expenses rose to Rs 53 crore, while operational costs for lending sharply fell to Rs 1.8 crore.

Expenses linked to financial guarantees rose to Rs 28 crore, and other expenses were reported at Rs 81 crore, bringing the total expenses for the company to Rs 281 crore, marking a reduction of 13.3% from Rs 324 crore in Q1 FY26.

MobiKwik recorded a net profit of Rs 7.6 crore in Q1 FY27 in contrast to a net loss of Rs 42 crore in Q1 FY26, driven by a decrease in overall expenses and a significant drop in lending operational costs. The company’s EBITDA for the quarter was reported at Rs 16 crore, recovering from an EBITDA loss of Rs 31 crore experienced in Q1 FY26.

On a sequential basis, MobiKwik’s operational revenue saw a slight decrease to Rs 281 crore, but their net profit nearly doubled to Rs 7.6 crore, indicating improved profitability even with a slight revenue moderation.

As of 11:38 AM, MobiKwik’s shares were trading at Rs 290 each, resulting in a market capitalisation of approximately Rs 1,614 crore at that time.
