Beardo Reports Strong Financial Performance in FY26
Beardo stands out in the grooming industry with its remarkable financial performance in FY26, reaching near Rs 300 crore in revenue and enhancing profitability by 70% compared to the previous fiscal year. According to standalone financial statements obtained from the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Beardo’s revenue from operations surged by 40% to Rs 299 crore in FY26, a notable increase from Rs 214 crore in FY25.
Revenue Breakdown and Sources
The company generated all its operating revenue from product sales, with an impressive 99% stemming from domestic sales and a mere 1% from exports. Additionally, Beardo recorded Rs 1 crore in other income, resulting in a total income of Rs 300 crore in FY26.
Expenditure Insights
In line with its growth, Beardo’s expenses also reflected an increase. Material consumption, the largest expenditure, rose by 36% to Rs 128 crore. Advertising and promotional expenditures saw a significant rise of 59.6%, bringing the total to Rs 83 crore as the company invested more in boosting sales and enhancing brand visibility. Employee benefit expenses increased by 30.2% to Rs 18.3 crore.
Overall expenses grew by 37%, reaching Rs 270 crore, driven by higher costs in transportation, legal, professional services, and travel.
Profitability and Efficiency
Beardo’s enhanced marketing strategies successfully led to a 40% rise in revenue, which, along with improved operational efficiencies, resulted in a profit after tax (PAT) increase of 70% to Rs 22.12 crore in FY26 from Rs 13 crore the prior year. The company spent Rs 0.90 to generate one rupee of operating revenue in FY26.
Furthermore, Beardo achieved an EBITDA margin of 10.57% in FY26, an improvement from 9.17% in FY25. The return on capital employed (ROCE) was strong at 66.52% for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
Balance Sheet Developments
On the balance sheet, Beardo’s total assets grew from Rs 72 crore in FY25 to Rs 126 crore in FY26. Current assets were reported at Rs 115 crore, rising from Rs 60 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Industry Competition Overview
Within the men’s grooming and D2C personal care sector, Beardo is facing competition from The Man Company, which declared Rs 161 crore in revenue for FY26 while experiencing losses of Rs 33 crore. Bombay Shaving Company exhibited substantial growth, reporting a 2.4X increase in revenue to Rs 635 crore, alongside its first-ever positive adjusted EBITDA of Rs 2 crore. Another competitor, Ustraa, owned by VLCC, has yet to release its FY26 financial statements.
Strategic Acquisitions and Expansion
Marico commenced 2026 with two strategic acquisitions, beginning in January with a 93.27% acquisition of the gourmet snacking brand 4700BC from PVR INOX. This was followed by the acquisition of a 60% controlling stake in the plant-based protein supplements brand Cosmix in February.
