Based in Gurugram, PB Fintech posted an operating revenue of Rs 1,888 crore in Q1 FY27, showcasing a 40% rise from Rs 1,348 crore during the same quarter last year, according to financial results obtained from the National Stock Exchange.

Revenue Breakdown and Core Business Performance

The primary revenue driver was Policybazaar, which contributed Rs 1,067 crore, while Paisabazaar added Rs 127 crore. New initiatives such as PB Partners, PB for Business, PB UAE, and PB Connect brought in Rs 694 crore collectively.

Total Income and Financial Performance

In addition to the operating revenue, the firm garnered Rs 93 crore from interest and financial asset gains during the quarter, resulting in a total income of Rs 1,981 crore for the quarter ending in March 2026. On a quarterly basis, there was a decline in PB Fintech’s revenue, decreasing over 8% from Rs 2,061 crore in Q4 FY26.

Insurance Premium Growth

The company’s total insurance premium experienced a 41% year-on-year growth, reaching Rs 8,372 crore during the quarter. This rise was influenced by a 53% increase in new protection premiums, including a 59% growth in health insurance premiums.

Expenditure Insights

Employee benefit expenses constituted the largest portion of the group’s costs, comprising 40% of total expenditure at Rs 716 crore, which represents a 28% increase from the previous year. Additionally, advertising and promotional spend surged by 50% year-on-year, amounting to Rs 379 crore in Q1 FY27. PB Fintech did not provide a detailed breakdown of other expenses in its quarterly financials. The overall expenditure escalated by 33% year-on-year to Rs 1,800 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 1,356 crore during the equivalent quarter last year.

Profit After Tax Growth

Focusing on the bottom line, the group’s profit after tax experienced a significant 92% uplift year-on-year, reaching Rs 163 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to Rs 85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, primarily driven by a 41% increase in insurance premiums.

Sequential Profit Decline

However, on a sequential basis, PB Fintech’s profit saw a decline of over 37% from Rs 261 crore in Q4 FY26. By the close of today’s trading session, PB Fintech shares were valued at Rs 1,620, resulting in a total market capitalization of Rs 74,957 crore, approximately $7.89 billion.
