Indian Startups Secured $198.33 Million in Funding This Week




This week, Indian startups attracted $198.33 million in funding, spanning three growth-stage deals, 14 early-stage deals, and four undisclosed rounds. The week also witnessed eight significant hires, two departures, and two mergers and acquisitions. In comparison, 14 startups had gathered approximately $151.5 million in the week prior.

Growth-Stage Deals

Growth-stage startups successfully raised $118.3 million through three deals this week. Fintech unicorn Navi emerged as the leader, receiving a substantial $100 million from Prosus during its inaugural institutional funding round. Electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss raised Rs 110 crore ($11.6 million) in a Series D funding round, while Mumbai-based paediatric behavioural health platform Butterfly Learnings garnered Rs 65 crore ($6.7 million) in a Pre-Series B round facilitated by Inflexor Ventures.

Early-Stage Deals

Early-stage startups brought in $80.03 million through 14 transactions this week. CtrlS topped this category with Rs 250 crore, which includes Rs 200 crore from Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath and Rs 50 crore from entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga. NeoGeo secured $20 million in a Series A round led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital, while Rezolv received $12.5 million in a Series A round sponsored by Norwest. Peeko raised in excess of $7 million in a Series A round led by Chiratae Venture, and healthtech platform Lissun raised Rs 48 crore in a Series A round directed by Colossa Ventures. Additional startups that received funding included DeHaat Honest Farms, a pesticide-free food brand by DeHaat, deep tech startup AlgoFET, specialty coffee brand First Coffee, reusable packaging platform Yantra Packs, and five other early-stage initiatives. Events and ticketing platform BookMyShow, travel tech startup Atravelq, health tech infrastructure startup Tross, and water infrastructure startup Neuromod Aqua also secured funding, though the specific amounts were not disclosed.

City and Segment-wise Deals

Bengaluru led the funding landscape with nine startup deals this week, followed by Delhi-NCR with seven. Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Jaipur also recorded transactions this week. In terms of sectors, e-commerce startups were at the forefront with five deals, followed by healthtech with three. Fintech and deep tech startups each completed two deals, while data centres, AI, EV, agritech, F&B, and other sectors also noted activity.

Series-wise Deals

Series A and Seed rounds dominated the week with five deals each, while pre-Series A and pre-Series B rounds each saw three deals. Pre-IPO, Series D, and other categories each concluded with one deal during the week.

Week-on-Week Funding Trend

Comparing weekly data, startup funding increased by 31% to $198.33 million from the $151.5 million amassed the previous week. The average weekly funding over the past eight weeks was approximately $297 million from 20 transactions.

Key Hirings and Departures

This week, Bengaluru-based quick home services provider Snabbit appointed Pradeep Yadav as Head of Operations, while healthtech company Superhealth named former Dunzo cofounder Dalvir Singh Suri to the same position. Swiggy expanded the roles of three senior executives within its Instamart and Food Marketplace, promoting Himavant Kurnala to Chief Growth and Product Officer, Nitesh Garg to CTO, and Saurav Goyal to COO of the Food Marketplace. MobiKwik appointed former Bajaj Markets executive Manish Pathania as CBO. Charwaha.com has appointed Bhanu Dasgupta as Co-Founder and Chief Strategy and Sales Officer, while the wealth and asset management firm 360 ONE has named Abhishek Bhalotia as Chief Growth & People Officer. On the departure front, Flipkart, supported by Walmart, is facing two senior leadership exits, including Gunjan Bhartia, Senior VP of Business Finance, and Amer Hussain, VP of Supply Chain for Grocery and Minutes.

Mergers and Acquisitions

DSP Finance, the non-banking financial company arm of DSP Group, acquired Salter Technologies, which operates the digital lending platform Volt Money and provides loans against financial assets, including mutual funds. AI-native fleet and logistics tech firm Fleetx.ai purchased transportation management system provider Pando.ai for an undisclosed amount. Additionally, Hearzap concluded its acquisition of Amplifon India’s hearing healthcare business, following a definitive agreement that was announced in May 2026.

New Launches and Partnerships

Sharan Hegde’s 1% Club unveiled India’s inaugural AI CFO designed to offer personalised financial guidance. Swiggy launched a 24/7 AI assistant for restaurant partners. CoverSure entered the insurance gifting sector, aiming for 1 million families and ₹100 crore within the next year. TrueFoundry introduced TrueForge, an open-source alternative to Claude Managed Agents at a 50% lower cost. Cygnet.One launched the Agentic AI platform targeted at accounts payable.

News Flash This Week

Atomberg has filed its DRHP for a fresh issue of Rs 450 crore. Nobel Hygiene has also filed a DRHP for Rs 150 crore. Krafton-backed Bobble AI is undergoing insolvency proceedings. Swiggy’s shareholders have signed off on a 49.5% foreign ownership cap. Wispr Flow has raised $280 million at a $2 billion valuation. Milky Mist has made a successful market entry, listing at an 18% premium. Vijay Shekhar Sharma-backed Resilient plans to sell 4.98% of its Paytm stake, benefitting Antfin.
