A91 Partners Invests in Atomberg

A91 Partners has committed approximately Rs 143 crore to the consumer appliances startup Atomberg through both primary and secondary transactions. The firm has reported that it has already divested shares amounting to around Rs 445 crore, as outlined in the company’s draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) in preparation for its initial public offering (IPO). The disclosures indicate that A91 injected around Rs 118 crore as primary capital into Atomberg, while an additional Rs 25 crore was invested through secondary purchases. These secondary transactions facilitated an exit for several of the company’s early investors, which included founders and Parampara Early Stage Opportunities Fund.

Significant Returns for A91 Partners

The investment has yielded substantial returns for A91 Partners. From an overall investment of roughly Rs 143 crore, the fund has successfully sold shares valued at nearly Rs 445 crore. Despite these partial exits, A91 maintains its position as Atomberg’s largest shareholder, owning a 21.02% stake as per the date noted in the DRHP.

A91’s Journey with Atomberg

A91’s involvement with Atomberg began in 2019 when the firm led the company’s Series A funding round. Furthermore, they were also active participants in Atomberg’s Series B round, which took place in 2020.

Broader Secondary Transactions at Atomberg

The latest DRHP also sheds light on the extensive secondary transactions that have occurred at Atomberg throughout the years. Since 2019, early investors, founders, and other stakeholders have sold shares totalling about Rs 683 crore. A91 was the most significant seller, accounting for approximately Rs 445 crore in sales, followed by Parampara, which sold shares worth around Rs 116 crore. Additionally, Atomberg’s co-founders, Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das, have also reduced their stakes.

About Atomberg

Founded by Meena and Das, Atomberg initially focused on producing energy-efficient BLDC fans and has since diversified into various home and kitchen appliances. In the fiscal year 2026, the company reported revenue from operations amounting to Rs 1,293.77 crore, representing a year-on-year growth of 34.8%. However, it recorded a net loss of Rs 149 crore during the same period.
