Eternal: Key Financial Movements and Stock Activity

Eternal, a prominent foodtech and quick commerce platform, is making headlines with significant transactions that occurred on August 31. Financial services powerhouse BNP Paribas, along with Millennium Management’s affiliate Integrated Core Strategies (Asia), divested shares valued at a total of Rs 3,265 crore, equivalent to nearly $344 million.

NSE data reveals that BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 5.09 crore shares at Rs 327.93 each, contributing approximately Rs 1,671 crore to the overall deal. Meanwhile, Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) offloaded 4.86 crore shares at Rs 327.90 per share, resulting in a deal worth around Rs 1,594 crore. These transactions encompassed nearly 10 crore shares of Eternal, although the identities of the buyers remain undisclosed.

In a separate note, Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) Pte. Ltd. and BNP Paribas acquired smaller quantities of Eternal shares amounting to Rs 35.4 lakh and Rs 2.06 crore, respectively.

Strong Financial Performance of Eternal

Eternal’s financial results continue to impress. For Q1 FY27, the platform’s operating revenue soared by 182% compared to the previous year, reaching Rs 20,211 crore. Additionally, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 92 crore.

Recent Transactions and Market Trends

This latest transaction follows a significant exit by Antfin nearly a year ago, when the Alibaba affiliate sold shares valued at Rs 4,772 crore in August 2025, following an earlier divestment of Rs 2,827 crore in March 2025.

As of 2:30 PM today, Eternal’s shares were listed at Rs 325.5 each, giving the company a market cap of Rs 3,13,299 crore, or approximately $33 billion.

Recent activity within Indian tech stocks has been vibrant, marked by numerous block and bulk deals. Noteworthy companies such as Lenskart, Paytm, and Meesho have experienced heightened investor involvement. These actions predominantly involve early investors and institutional stakeholders reducing their stakes, indicating a trend of high liquidity and profit-taking in the startup sector.
