Ultrahuman Secures Funding for Wearable Tech Development

Wearable tech startup Ultrahuman has successfully raised $70 million in a funding round spearheaded by Qualcomm Ventures, alongside the support of Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Alteria, and other stakeholders. Based in Bengaluru, the firm indicated that it would channel this investment into product development that spans across sensing, AI, miniaturised electronics, health algorithms, clinical science, and research.

Startup Superb reported this funding round exclusively on Tuesday, relying on Ultrahuman’s regulatory disclosures. Earlier assessments by Startup Superb suggested that the company’s post-money valuation is approximately $363 million, representing a 65% increase from its previous Series B valuation. Ultrahuman had earlier secured $35 million in Series B funding and $17.5 million in Series A funding back in October 2022.

Future Directions for Ultrahuman

Ultrahuman aims to transition from solely a wearable health entity into a comprehensive human-computer interface organisation centred around insights derived from human body data. The platform integrates data from the Ultrahuman Ring, Blood Vision, M1/M2 Live continuous glucose monitoring, Ultrahuman Home, and the Jade AI system. These offerings monitor various types of data, including physiological, biochemical, metabolic, and environmental metrics.

Research Initiatives and New Features

The company has also launched research programmes such as Pulsomics, which provides an opt-in platform enabling Ring users to take part in health studies. Current research focuses are centred on sleep, VO₂ Max, and glucose metabolism. Additional functionalities include AFib Detection, Cycle & Ovulation Pro, and cardiovascular fitness age, along with PowerPlugs designed for enhanced health-related capabilities.

Financial Growth and Projections

Ultrahuman reported revenues of Rs 565 crore and a profit after tax of Rs 73 crore in FY25. The company anticipates a revenue target of approximately Rs 1,000 crore for FY26 as it seeks to broaden its reach into international markets.

Founded by Mohit Kumar and Vatsal Singhal, Ultrahuman follows their previous venture, the logistics startup Runnr, which they sold to Zomato in 2017.
