EDT Secures $2.4 Million in Pre Series A Funding
Mumbai based consumer technology brand EDT has successfully raised $2.4 million in a Pre Series A funding round, which was led by the existing investor Sauce. Other angel investors joined in this round as well. Notably, the round featured contributions from Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai from Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.
Utilisation of Funds
EDT plans to utilise the funds to enhance its inventory before the festive season, introduce new products, and fortify its growth, supply chain, brand, and product teams.
Company Background
Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and Vyasateja Rao, EDT currently markets a range of kitchen appliances, which includes the LUMA air fryer oven and the FLOW kettle. Their products can be found on platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, FoodStories, and their D2C site.
Growth on Amazon
The company noted that their business on Amazon experienced remarkable growth, nearly seven times between March and July 2026.
Expansion into Beauty Tech
EDT has also ventured into the beauty tech arena with their SUKI hair dryer, which uses a pending patent CareDry Algorithm. This innovative device employs dual sensors to assess hair and airflow conditions 100 times per second, automatically adjusting the heat to suit.
Product Availability
SUKI is currently offered at a limited-time pre-order price of Rs 8,499 through EDT’s D2C platform, with plans to expand its availability to various marketplaces and retail stores later this year.
Future Developments
EDT has three additional products in development spanning the home, kitchen, and beauty tech sectors. The company aims to concentrate on R&D, product expansion, omnichannel distribution, community engagement, and team growth.
