Spill Games Secures $10.5 Million in Series A Funding
Bengaluru-based Spill Games, a mobile gaming studio leveraging AI, has successfully raised $10.5 million through a Series A funding round, led by Elevation Capital. Current investors Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital also contributed to this funding.
The startup had previously acquired $3.1 million in a seed funding round which was co-led by Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital in April 2026. Furthermore, in December 2024, it secured $750,000 from All In Capital, M-League, and various angel investors.
This new influx of capital will be allocated to scaling its successful games, broadening its game portfolio, investing in user acquisition efforts, enhancing its technology and AI capabilities, and strategically hiring new talent, as stated in a press release from Spill Games.
Founded in 2024 by former executives from PlaySimple Games, including Om Misra, Tapan Ranjan, and Harsh Garg, Spill Games adopts a systems-driven method towards game development. This involves a combination of AI, proprietary technology, data analysis, and rapid experimentation. The goal is to enable a compact team to expedite the process of turning game ideas into market-ready products and scaling them on a global level.
The company has noted a significant growth in its portfolio, expanding from three games that demonstrated scalable and profitable metrics to six games within a span of less than three months. Spill Games intends to further increase the number of games tested and scaled.
Innovative Game Development Strategy
At the heart of Spill Games’ strategy lies Compass, a proprietary AI-driven engine and tools layer. This innovative technology integrates analytics, retention strategies, monetisation techniques, and live operations, allowing the studio to reuse its infrastructure across various titles. As a result, they can significantly reduce the timeframe from concept to market testing. The organisation aims to create games approximately four times faster than conventional methods.
Data-Driven Game Selection
Spill Games crafts a multitude of game concepts, develops prototypes, and tests them with players. By analysing data regarding retention, engagement, monetisation, and user acquisition, the company determines which titles are worthy of further investment.
Industry research indicates that the global mobile gaming market is projected to grow from an estimated $176.7 billion in 2026 to $256.2 billion by 2030.
