Flipkart Group Reports Strong Growth in FY26 Revenue

Flipkart Group, owned by Walmart, has demonstrated significant growth in FY26, with its consolidated revenue increasing by 18.2% year-on-year. The group has also observed a slight improvement in its financial health, as net losses diminished by 2.1% to reach Rs 8,468 crore during the fiscal year.

Revenue Increase for Flipkart Internet

In FY26, the revenue from operations for Flipkart Internet surged to Rs 145,880 crore, up from Rs 123,451 crore in FY25, based on consolidated financial records submitted to the Registrar of Companies (RoC). The financial outcomes for FY26 showcase Flipkart Group’s consolidated results after its reorganisation in India, which brought 25 subsidiary companies under Flipkart Internet. This consolidation includes major enterprises such as Flipkart, Myntra, and Cleartrip, following the merger of the group’s Singapore divisions with Flipkart Internet in March 2026.

Major Revenue Streams

The sale of traded goods continues to be the largest revenue source for Flipkart Internet, generating Rs 1,04,850 crore, a rise of 12.8% from Rs 92,957 crore in FY25. This figure reflects income from product sales through commerce operations rather than just commissions from transactions. Additionally, revenue from logistics, warehousing, and shipping services has become the second-largest stream, showing a remarkable increase of 2.4 times to Rs 23,059 crore, up from Rs 9,580 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Growth in Advertisement Revenue

Revenue generated from advertisement services climbed by 30.7% to Rs 9,597 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 7,343 crore the previous year. However, revenue from marketplace and collection services saw a significant decline of 43.9%, dropping to Rs 6,719 crore from Rs 11,967 crore in FY25. This category includes charges for seller fees, commissions, and payment collections.

Operating and Non-Operating Income

Other operational income contributed Rs 1,655 crore in FY26, while non-operational revenue added Rs 820 crore, resulting in Flipkart Internet achieving a total revenue figure of Rs 1,46,700 crore for the fiscal year. The cost of materials, which comprised nearly 74.4% of total expenses, rose by 17% to reach Rs 1,15,118 crore. Moreover, transportation expenses soared by 28.9% to Rs 15,154 crore, and advertising costs increased by 4.7% to Rs 4,941 crore. Employee benefit costs grew by 1.3% to Rs 8,376 crore, which included Rs 2,922 crore attributed to ESOP expenses. Depreciation and amortization, alongside legal and professional costs, amounted to Rs 1,801 crore and Rs 1,595 crore respectively.

Financial Performance Overview

Overall, Flipkart Internet’s total expenses surged by 16% to Rs 1,54,781 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 1,33,400 crore in FY25. The company’s EBITDA loss has narrowed by 21.5%, decreasing to Rs 5,891 crore in FY26 from Rs 7,504 crore in FY25, with an EBITDA margin and ROCE of -4.04% and -39.04%, respectively. The net loss for the company decreased slightly by 2.1%, reaching Rs 8,468 crore in FY26, down from Rs 8,646 crore in FY25, as revenue growth continued to outpace expense increases. In FY26, Flipkart Internet spent Rs 1.06 to earn every rupee of operational revenue, an improvement from Rs 1.08 in the previous fiscal year.
