RapidCanvas Raises $29 Million to Enhance AI Platform

RapidCanvas has successfully secured $29 million in a Series B funding round, led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, with contributions from Hitachi Ventures and existing backers Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners, and Titanium Ventures. This recent funding round elevates the total amount of money raised by the company to $52.5 million. The funds will be allocated towards expanding the go-to-market teams, strengthening partnerships, and boosting the field AI engineering team in India, the US, and Brazil.

About RapidCanvas and Its Offerings

Founded in 2021, RapidCanvas delivers an AI platform that integrates AI agents with human expertise, enabling enterprises to create and implement bespoke AI applications. The platform is designed to facilitate the transition of AI projects from initial pilot phases to full production.

Growth and Market Impact

The company reported a remarkable eightfold increase in its annual recurring revenue over the last six quarters. Currently, over 40% of its clients are actively running multiple AI applications in a production environment. By 2026, more than 75 enterprises in sectors such as manufacturing, financial services, retail, business services, and infrastructure are projected to have made 1.4 million AI-driven decisions through applications built on this platform.

Core Products of RapidCanvas

RapidCanvas features three primary products: the Enterprise Context Engine, Visual Development Canvas, and Operational Harness. These products enable enterprises to gather critical business context, develop custom AI applications, and manage already deployed AI solutions effectively.

Target Market

The company aims its services at enterprises generating annual revenues between $100 million and $10 billion that have AI budgets but may lack the necessary resources or expertise to execute custom AI applications. By combining an AI platform with field engineers, RapidCanvas works alongside customers to construct applications and monitor their success post-deployment.

Previous Funding Rounds

In December 2024, RapidCanvas garnered $16 million in a Series A funding round spearheaded by Peak XV Partners, with backing from Titanium Ventures, Accel, and Valley Capital Partners, raising its overall funding to $23.5 million at that time.

Founders and Vision

Co-founded by Rahul Pangam and Uttam Phalnikar, who previously established Simility, a risk management firm based on AI that was acquired by PayPal, RapidCanvas is built on a hybrid model that merges AI technologies with human skills to create and implement enterprise-level AI applications. With the fresh funding, the company is set to broaden its commercial operations and assemble a larger engineering team in its ambition to boost the adoption of its AI platform among enterprises.
