CureSkin’s Financial Performance Boost in FY26
CureSkin has highlighted its improved financial performance in FY26, primarily driven by increased revenue from product sales and services, alongside a reduction in advertising and promotional expenses that helped to decrease its losses. The company reported a significant revenue increase of 27.9%, reaching Rs 133 crore for FY26, as outlined in its financial documents submitted to the Registrar of Companies.
Overview of CureSkin’s Offerings
Based in Bengaluru, CureSkin provides tailored skincare and haircare solutions through digital consultations and customised product recommendations that address individual skin and hair issues. This innovative business approach merges product sales with essential services, including dermatology-led consultations.
Revenue Breakdown
The primary source of revenue for CureSkin continues to be product sales, which constituted around 91% of total operating revenue. In FY26, revenue from products rose by 17.1% to Rs 120.6 crore, up from Rs 103 crore in FY25. In contrast, revenue from services saw nearly a ninefold increase to Rs 12.4 crore, albeit from a smaller initial base. This growth indicates a promising increase in service contributions, while product sales still represent the bulk of the business.
Other Income and Overall Revenue
The company also reported Rs 1 crore in other income, resulting in total revenue of Rs 134 crore for FY26, compared to Rs 108 crore the previous year.
Cost Management Initiatives
CureSkin’s advertising and promotional costs experienced a significant decline of 17.6%, dropping to Rs 61 crore in FY26 from Rs 74 crore a year prior. This reduction in a major cost category has contributed to lower overall expenditure, despite an increase in other operational costs and materials.
Material and Employee Costs
The expense related to materials consumed increased by 15.4%, amounting to Rs 42 crore, which aligns closely with the growth in product sales. In contrast, employee benefit expenses fell by 5.3%, from Rs 24.9 crore to Rs 23.6 crore, which has enhanced savings stemming from decreased promotional spending.
Other Notable Costs
Among other cost categories, transportation costs surged by 30% to Rs 13 crore, while legal and professional fees diminished by 36.5% to Rs 7.2 crore. Additional miscellaneous expenses went up by 14.8%, reaching Rs 22.2 crore, up from Rs 19 crore.
Financial Outcomes
CureSkin’s net loss was reduced by 48.5%, falling to Rs 35 crore in FY26, down from Rs 68 crore in FY25, facilitated by higher revenue along with lower expenses. The EBITDA margin saw an improvement from -60.94% to -21.81% over the fiscal year. On a per-unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.27 to earn each rupee of operating revenue, compared to Rs 1.69 in FY25, indicating a better cost-to-revenue ratio, even though the company is still not profitable.
Future Prospects
As of March 2026, CureSkin reported cash and bank balances of Rs 8 crore along with current assets valued at Rs 40 crore, a decrease from Rs 72 crore a year earlier. To date, the company has raised $26 million, including a substantial $20 million investment led by HealthQuad. Other notable investors include JSW, Khosla Ventures, and Sharrp Ventures.
Moving forward, the next stage for CureSkin will rely heavily on its ability to sustain and grow demand for its products while also enhancing its service offerings. The significant reduction in losses indicates that stringent cost management has positively impacted its financial situation, but maintaining this level of discipline will be vital as the company expands. Additionally, boosting service revenue may add diversity to its income stream beyond just product sales. With marketing expenses remaining substantial, achieving a balance between acquiring new customers and fostering repeat purchases will be crucial for establishing a more robust and sustainable business model.
