Rubrik Expands Operations in India with New Bengaluru Office
On Wednesday, cybersecurity firm Rubrik unveiled plans to enhance its presence in India by inaugurating a new office in Bengaluru. This modern facility aims to consolidate the company’s existing two offices in the city over time, with a projected opening by mid-2025.
According to a company statement, the new facility will integrate:
- Product development
- Product management
- Customer support
- Global recovery operations
Co-founder and CEO Bipul Sinha also indicated intentions to recruit talent from India as part of this expansion. He remarked, “By investing in top engineering talent, we believe we will continue to create innovative solutions that enhance Rubrik’s portfolio and support our global growth.” However, Sinha did not disclose specific numbers or a timeline for these hires.
Sinha emphasized, “India is in the midst of a massive digital transformation, and we believe there is a huge opportunity for Rubrik to help secure its digital future. There is a large pool of talent here. India is an economy with an extremely fast growth rate. Outside the US, India is one of the largest locations for the company in terms of headcount.” He further added that the company anticipates investing hundreds of millions of dollars in India.
Currently, Rubrik boasts a global workforce of approximately 3,000 employees, with over 1,000 staff based in India. The company, which was established in 2014 and launched its operations in India in 2017, went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in April 2024. As of December 2024, Rubrik reported an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $1 billion from subscriptions, serving over 6,100 customers across the United States, Europe, and the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region.
