GoRally Secures Rs 6.6 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding for Pickleball Expansion
GoRally, a prominent name in the Pickleball community, has successfully raised Rs 6.6 crore ($750,000) in its pre-Seed funding round. This round was spearheaded by Sujeet Kumar, with significant contributions from notable investors such as Mohit Kumar, Vatsal Singhal, Viren Singhvi, Kartik Kapoor, Abhishek Goyal, Deepak Singh, Arjun Vaidya, Bharat Founders Fund, an IITD syndicate, along with several investors from the US.
The funds will be allocated towards the establishment of eight new centres, featuring 40 Pickleball courts and 2 padel courts by April 2025. One of the upcoming venues will be the indoor pickle-padel arena, GoRally Whitefield, which will span an impressive 40,000 sq ft.
Growth and Infrastructure of GoRally
GoRally was founded last year by Sam Sancheti and Abhinav Shankar and currently operates four centres throughout Bengaluru, offering a total of 15 courts. Among these, the flagship facility is a 15,000 sq ft indoor arena located near Indiranagar, complemented by a 4,000-member WhatsApp community.
Innovations and Future Plans
This month, GoRally is set to launch its technology platform designed to enhance community engagement, which will include their well-known ‘Open-play’ game format. The company is committed to expanding its coaching services, which are staffed by some of Karnataka’s top-ranked players, as well as developing its retail equipment business, having already begun distribution of notable brands such as Joola. This positions GoRally as a comprehensive player in the rapidly growing recreational sports market, particularly focusing on Pickleball and Padel.
Expansion Beyond Bengaluru
In addition to its initiatives in Bengaluru, GoRally is planning to extend its reach to other major cities including Delhi and Chennai later this year through strategic partnerships.
