Change Engine Invests in Early-Stage AI Startups from India
Change Engine has unveiled its intention to allocate more than $5 million in funding over the coming five years to support early-stage AI startups from India. This initiative is designed to foster six high-potential AI startups each year, promoting innovation in machine learning stack technologies and global business applications.
Focus on Advanced AI Solutions
The objective of Change Engine is to develop second-generation AI products from India. This entails creating solutions that go beyond basic implementations to produce robust, scalable, and customized innovations. The six-month programme offers startups a cutting-edge sandbox environment, thorough assistance in product development, and access to a global network of mentors.
Investment Strategy and Support
Every year, six startups will receive an initial investment of $50,000 each, with the possibility of obtaining up to $150,000 through syndication, leading to a total investment exceeding $5 million over the next three years.
Nurturing the AI Ecosystem
Change Engine asserts that it has established a dynamic AI ecosystem in Delhi NCR, launching events such as the AI Product Bootcamp at IIT Delhi, where more than 40 AI enthusiasts gained hands-on experience from industry experts affiliated with major companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon. The accelerator has previously explored AI research developments in India compared to those in other nations.
Success Stories from Previous Cohorts
According to Change Engine, earlier cohorts have reached impressive achievements. For instance, Sonic Lambs appeared on Shark Tank Season 4 and garnered Rs 50 lakh in funding, while CallPrep was featured in Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund list.
Customer Advisory Board for Real-World Guidance
A key feature of the Change Engine accelerator is its Customer Advisory Board, which consists of industry leaders from prominent US organizations, including Amazon, Google, McKinsey, and Adobe. This board provides valuable insights, validates ideas, and helps refine market entry strategies.

Based in Gurugram, Change Engine is committed to creating a thriving AI ecosystem in India.
