AmpereHour Energy, an innovative energy storage startup, has successfully raised $5 million in a funding round, translating to approximately Rs 43.6 crore. This funding event was primarily led by the climate-oriented fund Avaana Capital, with additional contributions from UC Impower and several existing angel investors. Prior to this round, the company had previously raised $2.45 million through AngelList and other sources.
The funds acquired will be allocated towards enhancing manufacturing and software capabilities, supporting research and development (R&D), and advancing product development, as mentioned by AmpereHour Energy in a recent press release.

Innovative Energy Management Software
As per the Mumbai-based company, its proprietary Elina energy management software significantly enhances battery performance for integrating renewable energy sources, providing backup power, and ensuring grid stability.
Clientele and Project Deployment
AmpereHour Energy proudly serves an impressive roster of clients, including global giants such as Amazon, Siemens, Coca-Cola, and Indigrid. The company has successfully executed projects at over 50 locations and is currently commissioning around 50 megawatt-hours (MWh) of power storage capacity. With a focus on growth, it aims to expand to 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) in the upcoming 18 months, contingent on contracted capacity.
Global Expansion Initiatives
In addition to its technological advancements, AmpereHour Energy is actively pursuing geographical expansion. The company has ongoing projects in Oman and Nigeria and is in the process of commissioning projects in Belgium and the UAE.
