AstroTalk: Expanding Its E-commerce Vertical
AstroTalk, a prominent online astrology platform, has significantly enhanced its e-commerce sector, known as AstroTalk Store. This venture generated over Rs 140 crore in revenue for the year 2025, as stated by the company. Launched in November 2024, the Store claims to currently operate at an annualised run rate (ARR) exceeding Rs 200 crore.
The AstroTalk Store was kick-started with an internal investment of Rs 30 lakh to explore the feasibility of a trust-led spiritual products business. Following an increase in demand and repeat purchases, AstroTalk invested an additional Rs 40 crore to boost inventory, improve supply chains, and broaden product offerings.
Order Volume and Product Range
During FY25, the Store successfully processed more than 1.6 million orders. Currently, the AstroTalk Store offers over 300 SKUs in various categories, including rudrakshas, gemstones, bracelets, idols, and essential ritual items.
Market Insights
Puneet Gupta, the founder and CEO of AstroTalk, highlighted the size and fragmentation of the spiritual and astrology-led products market in India. He stated that consumers typically faced either inconsistent local vendors or untrustworthy small online sellers.
Future Expansion Plans
The company intends to enhance its product catalogue by adding 500 new items by FY27. Presently, the platform reports a repeat purchase rate of 24%, with nearly half of its future sales anticipated to come from Tier II and Tier III markets. AstroTalk aims for an annual recurring revenue target of Rs 400–500 crore by FY27 within its e-commerce niche.
Financial Growth
In FY25, AstroTalk’s total revenue rose to Rs 1,176 crore, up from Rs 651 crore in FY24. The company is also in advanced discussions to secure $50–100 million at a unicorn valuation, a detail initially revealed by Startup Superb. Furthermore, AstroTalk will commence preparations for its IPO process in the near future.
