Cashfree Payments Welcomes Piyush Anchliya as New CFO
Cashfree Payments, a leading fintech startup, has brought Piyush Anchliya on board as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Piyush will oversee the company’s financial strategies and operations, reporting directly to Akash Sinha, one of Cashfree’s co-founders.
He succeeds Vikas Guru, who held the CFO position for nearly four years. Prior to joining Cashfree, Piyush was the CFO at Bandhan Asset Management Company, previously known as IDFC AMC. His impressive career includes stints at Barclays Investment Bank in New York and Lehman Brothers in London.
Recent Developments at Cashfree Payments
In a noteworthy funding round, Cashfree successfully raised $53 million, with contributions from notable investors such as Krafton and Apis. The company reports that it handles approximately $80 billion in transactions annually, servicing over 800,000 businesses throughout India.
In December 2023, Cashfree received an endorsement from the Reserve Bank of India to act as a payment aggregator for both domestic and international transactions. Additionally, the firm is authorised to issue prepaid payment instruments, including mobile wallets.

With this leadership transition, Cashfree Payments aims to reinforce its commitment to managing large-scale transaction volumes while expanding its financial service offerings.
