Even Healthcare Raises $20 Million to Expand Managed Care Services

Bengaluru-based managed care provider Even Healthcare has successfully secured $20 million in a new funding round. This investment was led by existing investors Lachy Groom and Alpha Wave, with additional participation from Sharrp Ventures. This funding round arrives just 15 months after Even Healthcare raised $30 million during its Series A funding round in October 2024. With this latest investment, the total funding for the company has now reached $70 million, and its valuation has more than doubled in the last year.

Expanding Managed Care Hospital Model

The proceeds from this funding will be allocated to expanding Even Healthcare’s hospital presence in Bengaluru and enhancing its managed-care hospital model. Established in 2020, Even Healthcare operates on a membership-based system that integrates primary care, diagnostics, and hospital services. Unlike conventional hospital systems, Even prioritises continuity of care and patient recovery over maximising admissions and length of hospital stays.

Accountability Across Care Stages

Even’s care teams are responsible for all stages, including consultations, diagnostics, hospitalisation, and post-discharge recovery at home. This approach ensures that patient care is comprehensive and focuses on maintaining health improvements after discharge.

Impressive Outcomes and Efficiency

As part of this fundraising announcement, Even reported that its first hospital reached operating break-even just six months after its opening. Since the launch of the initial hospital in May 2025, the company has been tracking outcomes across its network. Remarkably, it reported no unplanned readmissions within 30 days across more than 350 surgeries and recorded zero post-operative infections in the group. Furthermore, over 200 hospitalisations were avoided thanks to effective home recovery monitoring.

Reduced Hospital Stay Duration

Additionally, Even Healthcare’s average length of hospital stay was found to be approximately 40% shorter than that in comparable settings. This success in managing patient care reflects the effectiveness of its innovative approach within the managed care domain.
