Exotel Expands Voice AI Capabilities with Dubverse Team
Exotel is enhancing its voice AI capabilities by acquiring the core team of the voice AI startup Dubverse. This includes cofounders Anuja Dhawan and Varshul Gupta. The aim of this move is to boost Exotel’s capabilities in conversational intelligence as well as improve the enterprise customer experience. This initiative will fortify Exotel’s voice AI stack, which is part of its wider offerings in enterprise communication.
Founded in 2011, Exotel delivers cloud telephony and communication solutions to businesses. The company has been concentrating on AI-driven customer engagement tools and plans to incorporate Dubverse’s knowledge in voice AI and conversational technologies into its platform.
Dubverse specializes in creating AI-powered speech and audio solutions. This includes multilingual voice generation tools designed specifically for enterprises. According to Startup Superb, Exotel has successfully raised $100 million in funding through various fundraising rounds, with notable backers such as Blume Ventures, A91 Partners, and Sistema Asia.
Moreover, Exotel’s operating revenue saw an increase of 10%, reaching Rs 490.5 crore in FY25, up from Rs 444.5 crore in FY24. The company also reported a profit of Rs 20 crore in FY25, in contrast to a loss of Rs 37 crore in FY24.
