Gramiyaa Cold-Pressed Oil Brand Secures Rs 7.2 Crore in Funding
Gramiyaa, known for its vertically integrated approach to cold-pressed oils, has successfully acquired Rs 7.2 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. This funding was primarily spearheaded by Homegrown Ventures, with notable contributions from Campus Fund and Mumbai Angels.
Before this, the Bengaluru-based brand had raised $1.14 million during a seed funding initiative from Homegrown Ventures and other investors.
The funds will be directed towards increasing Gramiyaa’s production capacity to an impressive 4 lakh litres monthly. The focus also includes improving sourcing capabilities, refining manufacturing processes, and bolstering distribution networks, particularly through their D2C platform.
About Gramiyaa
Established in 2016 by Sibi Manivannan, Gramiyaa specializes in cold-pressed cooking oil. Their diverse product line features wood-pressed oils in various flavours including groundnut oil, sesame oil, and coconut oil. The company predominantly markets its products in Tamil Nadu via independent retailers and online platforms. Gramiyaa operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, which guarantees product consistency, hygiene, and integrity throughout the production process.
