Senior Exit at Peak XV Partners: Harshjit Sethi Steps Down
Harshjit Sethi has made the decision to leave Peak XV Partners, marking another significant senior departure from the firm. Sethi dedicated nearly ten years to Peak XV, focusing on key areas such as artificial intelligence investments. His involvement with notable companies including Sarvam, BharatPe, Apna, and Darwinbox has greatly contributed to the firm’s portfolio.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Sethi is transitioning out of his role as managing director. In a LinkedIn update, he noted, “After a decade at Sequoia India and Peak XV, I’ve decided to leave the firm and explore a new innings. It’s been a journey rich in learning and relationships.” He reflected on the rapid development of the Indian startup ecosystem since his return from the Bay Area in 2015 and expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with founders at early stages.
Increasing Senior-Level Changes at Peak XV Partners
Sethi’s departure adds to a growing list of senior-level changes within Peak XV Partners. Earlier this month, Chief Product Officer Anuj Sahai left the firm after less than two years, having previously worked at Flipkart, Ola, Payback, and Yahoo.
Recent Patterns of Executive Departures
The trend of high-level exits at Peak XV Partners has been noticeable in recent months. In February 2025, managing partners Shailesh Lakhani and Abheek Anand resigned following lengthy tenures. This was succeeded by investor Shraeyansh Thakur’s exit in March, after almost a decade with the firm. These departures complement earlier exits by other senior figures, including Piyush Gupta and Anandamoy Roychowdhary.
