Celebrating ‘Startup India’ as a revolutionary initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on its ninth anniversary on Thursday that the programme has elevated India to become one of the largest and most dynamic startup ecosystems worldwide. He characterised the initiative as a pivotal programme that has transformed innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth, stating that it holds significant importance for him due to its role in advancing youth empowerment.
He conveyed through X that “In the past nine years, this transformative programme has enabled countless young individuals to convert their innovative ideas into thriving startups.” A decade ago, confidence in India’s capability to flourish within this framework was questioned, he noted.
The Prime Minister continued to highlight that this “transformative” initiative has indeed empowered numerous youths by translating their innovative concepts into successful startups.

He asserted that the success of Startup India signifies that today’s India is vibrant, assured, and prepared for the future. Modi expressed appreciation for every young person in the startup sphere, encouraging even more youths to embark on this journey, assuring them that they would not be let down.
