SMART Technologies has unveiled its inaugural ‘Make in India’ interactive flat panels that serve as flagship solutions for education at DIDAC 2025. On Thursday, 20 November 2025, during a media briefing at The Lalit in New Delhi, the organisation announced its strategies aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital Education’ initiatives.
High-Impact Launch Event
The event brought together prominent leaders from SMART’s international headquarters, educators, AV/IT partners, and media members. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the newly manufactured interactive display firsthand. This panel features exceptional energy efficiency, enhanced annotation capabilities with SMART Ink, and a streamlined teaching experience through Lumio’s AI functionalities, which is SMART’s innovative learning platform.
India-Focused Roadmap
During the briefing, SMART outlined its roadmap focused on India. This strategy is centred around bolstering local support for schools, universities, and corporate learning environments. Toke Tangkjaer, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at SMART Technologies, highlighted the importance of this launch, stating that manufacturing in India will allow the company to provide world-class technology to more deserving classrooms. The positive feedback from DIDAC 2025 underlines the need for supportive educational solutions.

Featured products included SMART Board® GX Plus, Lumio’s AI Assist, and the customer-focused support framework offered by the company. The manufacturing operations for the India market are based in Andhra Pradesh.
