Kriscore Capital Launches Fund for Indian Tech Startups
Kriscore Capital, a newly established venture capital firm, is dedicated to supporting early-stage tech startups in India. The firm has successfully completed the first close of its inaugural fund, raising Rs 200 crore ($23.3 million). This fund features an initial amount of Rs 100 crore along with a greenshoe option for an additional Rs 100 crore.
The fund received Rs 50 crore in commitments from high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Kriscore Capital has plans to invest in 16 to 18 technology-driven startups at the pre-seed and seed stages, focusing on industries such as digital consumer services, supply chain resilience, global export opportunities, generative AI, and initiatives aimed at achieving net-zero emissions.
Kriscore has already initiated its first investment in a startup currently operating in stealth mode.

General Partner Nilesh Balakrishnan, who previously worked at WaterBridge Ventures, highlighted the firm’s dedication to offering both strategic guidance and financial support to help develop businesses with global significance.
Advisory Board Expertise
Kriscore’s advisory board is composed of notable industry figures, including D Sundaram from Infosys, Shyam Srinivasan, the former head of Federal Bank, and Manish Khetarpal of WaterBridge Ventures. This board significantly enhances the firm’s strategic capabilities.
